Trace Tribute 30/50/75 Endurance Ride|
The Trace Tribute Endurance Ride takes place using the horse trails at Natchez Trace Parkway located near Nashville, Tennessee. This trail and endurance ride is separate and distinct from the ride that has been held at Natchez State Park in western Tennessee.
Ride Manager: Angie Fura
What's new this year? Basecamp will be in the same location, however, Mr. Marlow made several changes to the field behind the vet check. The trees bordering the highway have been removed. Because of this, opportunities to highline and picket are extremely limited. In addition, loose horses are at risk of accessing the road. A temporary fence will be erected, but Ride Management strongly suggests using reliable and sturdy containment systems. In honor of the rich history of the Natchez Trace Parkway, the 2008 Trace Tribute will feature a Cavalry division for all distances! You can also sign up for Team Cavalry. See the Cavalry rules for more details. Like last year, the finish line is on a dirt road leading into base camp. You must cross highway 50 before the final approach. This finish line, although not ideal, was the safest possible. It is highly recommended that you not endanger your horse by racing in. There are no special awards for first place (all top 10 awards are the same) so don’t risk injury for a few points. The trail map is available for download in PDF format. Please be aware that last minute changes may be made to the trail design. Please attend the ride meeting for last minute changes!!
Keep Tennessee and our Natchez Trace Scenic Trail beautiful. Please don't leave litter
on our trails. Thank you!
